    Welcome, my name is Lee D. Dufresne, founder of Elusion Camouflage. I was born in a small rural town in Vermont in 1971. Following in my family's patriarchal footsteps, I was introduced to the outdoor experience from the time I was able to take my first steps on my own. My fondest memories were during camping and fly-fishing trips with my father Donald and my grandfather Exaid F. Dufresne nearly every weekend. We enjoyed many adventures in the cozy confines of our modern deer camp in Woodford, Vermont or ruggedly huddled under a plastic sheet along the banks of Flood Dam in Somerset, Vermont. I quickly grew to love the outdoors and it has become one of my greatest passions in life.

    I began my ventures as a true hunter at a very young age under the tutelage of my grandfather Exaid. I was taught the art of tracking and patterning the Whitetail Bucks and the techniques of Grouse Hunting. Be it perfecting my techniques, White Rabbit-running with beagles, or even learning to tie flies to go fly-fishing in the old hidden beaver dams of the deep, vast wilderness of the now George D Aiken Wilderness area, I was taught respect for the outdoors and dedication to every aspect of our quests. My grandfather taught me the importance of blending in the outdoors; total concealment was a must back then. The challenges this brought forth were badly-shot angles and having to pass up game that I ordinarily may have been able to harvest if I had not been completely concealed in a brush pile. Total concealment--to me--is less important if you blend in. With Elusion Camo patterns  you are now perceived as a natural element by all game and birds in any pattern in any natural setting.   Nature is random.....yet Game animals and brids do not react negatively to a varying tree type or rocks....Nor will they when they pass by Elusion camo !

    Blending in is something I was never truly able to do until recently. Elusion Camo© allows me to do this every time I enter the woods. The challenge has been reduced and now I am able to focus more on the time and quality of the hunt rather than wondering why everything in the forest is looking at me. Now, with Elusion Camo©, I can kill the curiosity.

    I have always sought out the best gear and the best clothing for all of my expeditions. Although I have had a very successful hunting career for over the 32 years I have been afield, I must admit I never really found true camouflage patterns that suited my needs for concealment totally or satisfactorily in each of my hunting scenarios. It has been a long time coming that a true Photo HD, quality-imaging style of camouflage would come about. I have waited eagerly each year for this to happen. Whether through mail-in or electronic suggestions to various camouflage companies, I did my best to help this come to fruition. However, it never did...until December of 2010.

    I have been conferring with numerous camo printers and designers. They all had the same answers; there is no way to get the patterns to line up without repeats or blocking out. Refusing to accept this, I then took my ideas to a very talented friend of mine that happened to be an RIT graduate in visual communications. We sat down and I presented my ideas to her, and it was less than one week before she figured out the complex, yet simple process and developed a non-repetitive running pattern from my images. It was then--right then--that I knew we would succeed where so many others had failed.

    So, it is with great enthusiasm to now present to you the newest and most innovative collection of custom camouflage patterns available today.

    It makes me proud to be able to present the outdoor community as well my friends and family a great new set of patterns with the highly-skilled help of Stephanie Calabro of Turcotte Design.
